Here at First Baptist, our Children's Ministry is "First Kids!" The children attend Sunday School at 9:45 a.m. on Sundays, and during worship, Ms. Jamie has a Children's Message, then the kids are dismissed to Children's Church. On the 4th Sunday of the month, children remain in the Sanctuary for "Parenting in the Pew", you can learn more about this program by reading the book "Parenting in the Pew: Guiding Your Children into the Joy of Worship", by Robbie Castleman. First Kids have a break from Sun. evening meetings for the summer, and will resume when school starts back in the fall.

GAME PLAN: A 4-Week Series from 1 & 2 Samuel on David
SERIES OVERVIEW: On your mark, get set, go! When a shepherd named David became king, it was a whole new ballgame! He had some big wins and some big losses, too, but he also had a great plan for how to overcome his challenges. In this 4-week series, kids will team up with David and learn that making peace, following God, showing kindness, and forgiveness are all part of God's game plan for us!
Get ready for Cooking Camp, August 11,13,15! We will be mixing, pouring, stirring, flipping, baking, cooking, sautéing up a storm. During our waiting time, we will also be playing board and card games. Please register your child (4-11) no later than August 7th.
August Dates: Aug. 11, 13, 15 9am-Noon COOKING AND GAMES CAMP
If you have a heart for children and would like to serve in our Nursery Ministry, sign up below, new volunteers will be sent a secure link for a background check. You will then be able to sign up for the Sunday School hour, or during worship time, to serve along side our Nursery worker, Rachel. It is hard to believe August is here and that brings back to school and planning for a new youth church year. Youth and families continue to review the band app and your emails as plans are made for a new church year to begin in September. Also remember on Sunday, August 24 to bring your backpacks to worship for a blessing of your new school year.
Church family thank you so much for your support of our youth to attend Passport Missions Camp. We appreciate all your encouraging words, mail, goodies, prayers and allowing us to lead you in worship so you could experience our Passport theme and lives changed. We pray that all that was shared will also challenge you to explore the wide open spaces in your spiritual journey as you welcome, wonder, act and dance!! Continue to have conversations and encourage our youth as they continue in their spiritual journey and life. They need each of you and your prayers, encouragement, and support. Our youth are blessed with a church family who is always there for them. Thank you.
Youth, we will continue our Fast Food Fridays August 1, 8, 15, and 22, we will go tubing and to vespers on Wednesday, August 6 and have lunch and a lake day on Wednesday, August 13. Continue to watch the band app and your emails for more details, information and any added opportunities.
Blessings, Patricia
