Here at First Baptist, our Children's Ministry is "First Kids!" The children attend Sunday School at 9:45 a.m. on Sundays, and during worship, Ms. Jamie has a Children's Message, then the kids are dismissed to Children's Church. On the 4th Sunday of the month, children remain in the Sanctuary for "Parenting in the Pew", you can learn more about this program by reading the book "Parenting in the Pew: Guiding Your Children into the Joy of Worship," by Robbie Castleman. First Kids meet on Sunday evenings from 4:30-6:30 p.m. Pick up and Drop off is at the Portico entrance.

We Are Family: a 4-Week Teaching Series for Children's Ministry Nothing brings a family together—or stirs up some friendly drama—like a family game night! Just like in games, family life can have its own ups and downs, whether it’s with our given or chosen families. In this 4-week series, kids will explore how Abraham’s family navigated challenges and blessings while learning how we can care for our families, serve them well, and remember that we’re all part of God’s family. As they do, kids will learn that we can believe God’s promises, we can pray for our families, we can trust God to provide, and we’re all welcome in God’s family. BIG IDEAS & BIBLE STORIES We can believe God’s promises. (God Calls Abram: Genesis 12:1–5, 13:1–18; Psalm 145:8–14) We can pray for our families. (God Spares Lot’s Family: Genesis 18:20–33, 19:15–29; Psalm 65:1–8) We can trust God to provide. (Abraham, Sarah, and Isaac: Genesis 21:1–6, 22:1–14; Psalm 139:1–12) We’re all welcome in God’s family. (Jacob and Esau: Genesis 25:19–34, 27:1–33; Romans 8:31–39)

Please contact Katie in the church office or Jamie by email or call/text 336-825-0452 to register no later than Friday, July 10th. There is no cost to attend camp!
NURSERY VOLUNTEERS ARE NEEDED
Nursery Volunteers Needed! If you are willing and able, please sign-up for one or two spots every 3 months. Church family thank you for all the mail, prayers, encouragement and support for Passport Missions. From the worship service one could tell the youth are growing in their spiritual journey. Please continue to pray for them as it is easy at camp but challenging when you are home among other influences. Share encouragement and pray for our youth especially this summer.
Many of our youth are working this summer, so the summer schedule is being adjusted. Friday, July 10 and July 24 we will have supper and an activity on Friday evening beginning at 6 p.m. On Sunday, July 12 we will have a youth activity at the lake beginning at 4:00 p.m. Youth and parents watch your band app and emails for more details. Hopefully these days and times will help us be together this summer.
Finally, youth and families remember that Vespers will be at Big R Orchards on July 15. More information is in the Scope. I encourage you as families to attend this time of food, fellowship and faith. This time provides an opportunity for everyone to learn more about our church family.
Blessings,
Patricia
