Here at First Baptist, our Children's Ministry is "First Kids!" The children attend Sunday School at 9:45 a.m. on Sundays, and during worship, Ms. Jamie has a Children's Message, then the kids are dismissed to Children's Church. On the 4th Sunday of the month, children remain in the Sanctuary for "Parenting in the Pew", you can learn more about this program by reading the book "Parenting in the Pew: Guiding Your Children into the Joy of Worship", by Robbie Castleman. First Kids meet on Sunday evenings from 4:30-6:30 p.m. Pick up and Drop off is at the Portico entrance.
Intergenerational Mission Projects once a month on Sunday evenings.
This is a church-wide event!
Patricia and Jamie want to thank everyone who joined the Youth and First Kids for our second Intergenerational Mission Project of 2026. Friends came together to enjoy fellowship and to make blessing bags to be personally passed out as they see those that may need a bit of assistance. Please join us for our next event that will be held Sunday, April 12th from 5:30-6:30 p.m. We will be making and delivering goodie baskets for/to our police officers, fire departments, and EMS.

Our April series kicks off with the greatest news ever—Jesus is alive! But even his closest friends were surprised by what they discovered. Each week, kids will follow the clues in the Bible, looking at the stories leading up to Easter and connecting them to other moments in Jesus’ life and ministry. Along the way, they’ll see that the Bible isn’t just full of clues about who Jesus is—it’s the complete story of God’s love. In this 4-week series, kids will learn that the Bible says Jesus is alive, the Bible tells us Jesus loves us, the Bible reveals who Jesus is, and the Bible shows us how to share God’s love.
Attention! First Kids Players: We will be meeting on Wednesday, April 15th for our 2nd session! This group of theatre/drama enthusiasts have already agreed on the theme of our first production, Fruits of the Spirit. We are so excited to move forward and begin creating something for everyone to enjoy. This group is for kids (6-11). Youth and adults are welcome to join to assist our First Kids in creating their first production! This will be an original production from start to finish including the plot, lines, props, and stage direction. Please contact Jamie if you would like to participate or have any questions!

Lots of volunteers are needed for MerleFest and all funds raised will support Youth PASSPORT Camp and Missions. It takes everyone helping out and we appreciate you volunteering!!
